       Blue Sapphire Rabbitry is owned by Maria Wilson. We are located in Southern Maryland. We are a member of the ARBA. Our Goal Here at Blue Sapphire is to raise wonderful pedigreed Bunnies. The breeds we raise are, Lionheads, Holland Lops and Netherland Dwarfs And now English Lops.  We have a few color project's, or most main project is Blue eyed white's. Your find Chocolate's, Orange's and some otter's. Our animals are handled daily by our children and ourselves. We want to improve mane quality with Blue-eyed white lionheads. We also strive for great temperment. We started this in 2008 with our first purchase  of Two Lionhead rabbit's. From then it became a joy and a love for the animals. We have grown with our numbers of rabbit breeds. We have a small heard so Our rabbit's get individual attention daily. Some walk on harness while other's get time in an outdoor play area.  We know each bunny by name. We are new to showing but we strive to show our bunnies. We enjoy it! You'll find picture's of them with their ribbons. We are still learning. We do this as a hobby. I do not make a profit, the money i recieve go's back into the rabbitry to purchase cages, food, supplies and other buns to improve our lines.

      Maria Wilson is now a stay at home mom and housewife.  She has worked as a vet tech for 6 years prior to having her children. So i have medical experience. Also along with the bunnies, also lives two dogs, Five cat's, chickens. Geese and ducks. And a Pair Of Fainting Goats. With the help of her Husband Steve and her oldest daughter Taylor we keep the bunnies happy! Taylor play's with and holds each Kit before it leave's our rabbitry. So our rabbit's are truly *Kid Approved* We Love each one and often times find ourselves not wanting to let them go(exspeacilly Taylor).

           Our bunnies are housed in a barn. They are sheltered from the elements. Kept cool in the summer with fans and ice water bottles and warm in the winter with a wood burning stove.  We have very few litter's over winter.  We give our does breaks between litter's. We currently are feeding Mana Pro Show formula with added oats.  You can find breed information on our Breeds pages.  If there is anything you would like to know that is bunny related please ask.
